Using Triton Tungsten in Wrestling

In the past, I’ve made it a point to say that weddings have no place in a professional wrestling setting. Not only do such events of holy matrimony feel unnatural inside the squared circles where exhausting matches take place, but they are rarely done well. However, I can see Tungsten Rings being used in such situations. You might find it strange but Triton Tungsten, amongst the company’s bands, are made inexpensively that they would go well with cheap television segments. There are a few cases where a Mens Tungsten Wedding Band might be utilized.

Tungsten rings can be used during the corny wedding segments that might not have much value in the long run. Since the rings are made cheaply and World Wrestling Entertainment is a successful company on its own, cost wouldn’t be an issue. A men’s tungsten wedding band could also be used as a weapon during said segment, acting as a one-time brass knuckle before it shatters upon force. With a Triton tungsten on the finger of one wrestler, he could rear back and strike his opponent before fleeing from the scene in a show of fear.

I can also see a tungsten ring being used as a weapon habitually throughout a wrestler’s career. There’s an element of danger to it as well, considering that it would break after one, two at best, hits. However, that’s where a new ring can be showed during each show. Akin to a Rey Mysterio mask, each one is different and you hardly ever see the same one being used twice. It’d be a neat gimmick surrounding a bargain-quality piece of jewelry.

A Tungsten ring can also be used in a storyline, totally separated from a wedding. The WWE Hall of Fame is a noteworthy class of wrestlers, contributing various degrees of accolades and publicity to lead the company where it is today. Each member of the Hall of Fame is given a ring to celebrate his or her evocation, so why not use such a ring in a storyline? An older wrestler who hasn’tattained such an honor could forge his own cheaply-made ring in order to convince himself that he’s in the Hall as well. Such an instance of foolishness, even selfishness, could be interesting.

Highlight a ring’s adverse points rather than the good would be smart on WWE’s part as they would use the quality of Tungsten on a weekly basis. It could be as simple as a wedding segment, of course, but why stop there? It could go further, maybe even manifesting into a gimmick such as an unorthodox weapon. It could also be used in further storylines where it can be used in a fooling manner that would, if done correctly, actually be funny.
