Good For The Money – Nikon Waterproof Digital Camera Review

Do not buy this camera! I purchased this camera some months ago for my wife and son. Dark photos with a flash do not look all that spectacular but still have great detail, but what do you expect, eh“ My one qualm is the USB cable. We spend tons of time at the beach, our pool and the waterpark so waterproof was necessary. The only complaints I have are 1.) It takes a long time to turn on and off. Go for it I liked this camera out of the box. The software is intuitive, the options varied and I took it to the tide pools right away and got some great super macro shots of marine life underwater.

The normal Sequential is a little slow for my liking but the High speed more than makes up for it. It allows you to add voice recording to any picture, but you can’t delete it in the camera so if you mess up you lose space till you get to a computer.

The memory card that was supposed to fit in the camera didn’t slide down all the way. In all, I would not suggest this camera to anyone who enjoys sending in their camera often, and enjoys not knowing which setting to use. All in all, the quality is great for what I need it to be. Point, shoot, forget.

The price was excellent, and the camera is made for its purpose. If I want more fancy stuff I can use my other Cannon Rebel XS.

I returned this camera for a full refund after some slight issues with Amazon. Based on this issue alone, („blade type shutter cover over the lens that slips behind the body on operation, I can see this getting stuck eventually“) I would recommend – do not purchase this camera! I was delighted at the picture quality.

I took it down to about 6 feet of salt water and it didn’t miss a beat. The pictures were crisp, the video worked very well and I couldn’t be happier.

Ok, I thought I did a lot of research here, looking at quality of image and quietness of the video zoom, etc. I saw this on some of the best online camera review sites, and of course, the waterproofing and durability. They wanted my credit card number along with the camera. I told them to throw the camera in the trash.

I carried that camera there for 19 months without a glitch. Every day it was in my cargo pocket ready for action no matter the environment, sand storms, cold, hot, dust, and it received its fair share of dents and scratches along the way. The Panoramic auto function has messed up on me a few times by not detecting the edge till late and stitching images together with too big of gap to match. It doesn’t have a high depth rating but you get what you pay for and 16ft is more than enough for snorkeling and shallow diving but I wouldn’t take it too close to that without an external case.

This will help me take good pictures were my Rebel can’t be taken (rain forest, underwater) I recently ordered this camera for my wife. INFRARED GRILL.

Great Buy For The Money – Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera Critique

Because I am out in all sorts of weather I need the waterproof feature and the drop proof ruggedness. It also acts as a backup for when I’m out with my full size camera and something goes wrong with it. I am not going to be going on an amazing vacation and need amazing, stellar pictures that sell them self. Come to find out, I am pleased. I would absolutely recommend this camera. This camera takes pretty good quality photos. I have a 14GB-Class-10 memory card installed. Class-10 is the fastest card there is. While the camera worked very well underwater for snorkeling, it fell short on land. I purchased the camera based on design and durability, believing that a company like Olympus would have figured out how to take digital photos, but I was wrong.

This is a wonderful point and shoot. Startup time when you power the camera on isn’t the fastest but it is quick. The Stylus tough 6020 really lives up to its name. I’m a fishing guide in New York state and in the late fall and winter months it’s the only camera you can use do to the colder weather.

All in all, the quality is great for what I need it to be. Point, shoot, forget. I was a little nervous at first about dunking it in water but it worked great for underwater pictures and video. I need an extra battery and I bought a 16 GB SD card which gave me over 4000 pictures or over 5 hours of video.

On opening it up – it had got water in, shorted the battery and the terminal. Two days and it fails – never buy this! The pictures are looking great and the zoom is perfect for us. We travel a good bit and this camera is easy to use and easy to carry in my purse.

It improves on the Stylus-tough 3000 series in a couple of great ways, solving many of the problems that the 3000 series had. I loved my 3000: even for its faults it still was great to have an ultra-portable, durable camera wherever I am. There are so many more disappointing things about this camera that it’s almost not worth typing. It’s still not working after 2 months now.

The Polaroid takes a much better photo even though it may be the cheapest camera on the market. Do yourself a favor and buy another product. This camera has been dropped by a 3 year old on the concrete, used to snorkel under water, and caught some wonderful spur of the moment HD video. Let’s just say if you have the correct setting, the photos are fantastic.
