At its foundation an internet marketing promotion business is a simple and very powerful business. In it’s simplicity it is a three step process.

1. Create leads. This is the hardest step of the three as you have multiple options to choose from to generate those leads.

A great lead generation system should have the following elements…

1. Run by itself, once set up, so that you can spend your most precious resource, your time doing the things that you would most want to do.

2. Build a list of leads with their contact details who are genuinely interested in knowing and wanting to hear from you about your product or service.

3. A way to know when people are genuinely interested in your offer and a way to automatically follow up with them with your specific offer.

4. The system needs to be high touch and not just high tech in order to build that all important know, like and trust with those who are receiving your information.

5. Generates predictable results. The system works like a radio volume control that increases your business when turned up and maintains your business when turned down.

The best system that I have found that has those five key components is article writing. By writing articles that demonstrate your knowledge and ability to solve problems and including a free offer at the end of your article and getting it published, you’ll find prospects contacting you without spending money on advertising.

If the online visitors find your writing informative and content good they will keep on coming back to you and go to the links provided by you in the articles you wrote. This is why it is important to put quality content on your blog for the users to start building trust in you. Many times the publishers of ezines and blogs etc like your work and put them in their websites. They promote your good work in order to get more customers to their websites. This also helps you in acquiring more customers to your blog who click on the links present in your articles.

Qualifying Your Leads – The Critical Internet Marketing Promotion Skill

OK, moving right along. Many people when it comes to internet marketing promotion believe the key to success is too simply to get more traffic to their sites. As a result, they tend to generate generic traffic in the hopes that their blogs will turn that traffic into real live clients. Unfortunately sooner or later they realise that they are not getting the results they hoped for.

If you are only getting quantity traffic and not quality traffic to your blog you will not be see the results you hoped for with your internet marketing promotion. So how do we get that quality traffic? That is a great question and this is the three step process that I use to make sure I am not just getting loads of traffic to my site, but more importantly, it is qualified traffic.

STEP 1: Determine who your target market is. Targeting a specific market does not mean that you have to exclude people that do not fit your criteria from buying from you. Rather, target marketing allows you to focus your marketing and brand message on a specific market that is more likely to buy from you than other markets. This is a much more efficient and effective way to reach potential clients and generate business.

STEP 2: Target your market. In order for your marketing to be most effective you really have to focus on the creation of the most attractive messages and their call to action. All effective target marketing puts a special focus on this particular task.

STEP 3: Capture the traffic that goes to your blog. To build or to extend your client list, opt-in marketing is definitely the best solution. With opt-in marketing, you will get to collect names and email addresses of potential buyers, of course with their implied prior consent. As the list grows, you can further categorize it into various segments in terms of personal taste, buying preference, frequency of purchase, and so on. This benefit will enable you to plan ahead other strategies relating to the segmentation.

3: Collect the details of those who visit your blog. People will be a lot more willing to leave their details if you offer them something of value in exchange for their details for example a special report or DVD about how to literally save thousands when buying their next home. The other key is to keep it short. If you make the form too long, people will simply not fill it out, or will skip over large sections of it.
