U.S. market research firm NPD released the latest statistics show that during October to November in 2011, smart phone Android market share of Google dropped sharply from 60% 13-47% by the Apple iPhone 4S smart phone sales increasing and other factors in the U.S.

NPD data shows that during the third quarter of 2011, Google Android smartphones market share is 60% in the U.S. Apple iOS corresponding market share was only 26%. But by October 2011 and November, due to the rapid growth sales of iPhone 4S, resulting in market share was increasing, the market share of Apple iOS up to 43%, Android market share fell to 47%.

Industry have pointed out, NPD data only reflects the situation of last October and November. Unless the Android mobile phone sales was with amazing performance last December, or during the entire fourth quarter last year, Apple iOS is likely to regain more market share from Google Android, at least, it is no longer so obvious between two sides of the market share gap.
