Southland Tales: Impressive cast is trashed in an overlong, overwrought wallow set in 2008 Southern California three years after a catastrophic atomic assault on Texas has turned America into a patrol state. Concentrates on a few individuals trying to subsist in this postapocalyptic atmosphere, including a B action film performer, a porn megastar turned Television commentator, and an L.A. patrol officer with a split personality. The Big Road: This movie is about a shy busboy who commits himself to a selfish nightclub singer. The film is abnormal (and oddly watchable), with extremely unorthodox roles for both Fonda and Ball. Red: Very last film in Kieslowski’s „3 Colors“ trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired magistrate Trintignant accidentally, then creates a relationship with him and enters his cloistered, secret life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of few entangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent. (99 minutes, 1994)

Pauline & Paulette: Charming, emotional film about 2 siblings, the psychologically retarded Pauline (Van der Groen), and Paulette (Petersen), a charismatic cloth shop owner and amateur opera diva whom Pauline cherishes. While destiny brings the 2 together under one ceiling, Paulette tries to push Pauline out of her life. This film was a Victor of 5 Belgian Plateau Prizes, the film characteristics momentous behaviors by 2 legendary Belgian actresses and marks the characteristic debut of cowriter and director Debrauwer. Cast includes Dora Van der Groen, Ann Petersen, Julienne De Bruyn, Rosemarie Bergmans, and Idwig Stephane. (78 minutes, 2001)

The Occurring: Light hearted and light headed caper tale focusing around abducting of a now honorable used to be gangster (Quinn). This is Dunaway’s film debut. The title melody became No. 1 hit for The Supremes. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, George Maharis, Michael Parks, Robert Stroller, Faye Dunaway, Milton Berle, Oscar Homolka, Jack Kruschen, Clifton James, and Eugene Roche. (101 minutes, 1967)

Dinner Rush: A tumultuous day in the life of a recently fashionable N.Y.C. restaraunt. Owner Aiello is considering of giving up his bookie job, his megastar cook is requesting part ownership of the restaurant, and then 2 mobsters materialized to pay an unfriendly visit, etc. Flavorful film has the ring of reality inside the resaraunt, and outside it is is brimming with life. Cast includes Danny Aiello, Edoardo Ballerini, Vivian Wu, Mike McGlone, Kirk Acevedo, John Corbett, Sandra Bernhard, Summer Phoenix, Polly Draper, Mark Margolis, and Ajay Naidu. (100 minutes, 2001)

Food of the Gods 2: This time, as a result of hormone experiments gone bad, tremendously big rats terrorize a college campus. Cast includes Paul Coufos, Lisa Schrage, Jackie Burroughs, Colin Fox, and Frank Moore. (91 minutes, 1989)

Lightning the White Stallion: Incredibly weak family fare with Rooney a prosperous guy whose racehorse is stolen. Cast includes Mickey Rooney, Isabel Lorea, Susan George, and Billy Wesley. (95 minutes, 1986)

The Pajama Game: Adaptation of the Broadway lyrical hit with much of its cast intact essentially interprets the word „exuberance.“ Day is a pleasure as the head of a plant complaint agency that impulsively falls in love with the new foreman (Raitt, in his only featuring film). Richard Adler and Jerry Ross‘ melodies contain „Hey, There.“ Dancer Haney stands out in her „Mist Heat“ characteristic and in the lively „Once a Year Night“ barbeque number. Cast includes Doris Day, John Raitt, Carol Haney, Eddie Foy, Jr., Barbara Nichols, and Reta Shaw. (101 minutes, 1957)
