By now you’ve probably heard the buzz about Global Verge. Buzzirk Mobile has partnered with them, and Global Verge e-associates will now be able to become cell phone resellers. The company is getting serious about this; they are inspecting every website of every member, and dumping those that are not in compliance with FCC regulations.

Global Verge is a very young company, it isn’t even a year old yet. They do sell several other products, like Fathom Video Conferencing, and National ID Recovery. Those products are being overshadowed by the hype surrounding the Buzzirk Mobile product.

Global Verge associates have been anxiously awaiting the release of the phone product. This put a lot of stress on the company, resulting in members not being able to get through on the phones for at least 3 weeks, credit cards were not being charged, and the member’s information wasn’t being updated within the company’s websites.

Global Verge signed up with a new payment processor who also provides customer support. Now, when people stop their auto ship, or their credit cards expire, they will get a friendly call and hopefully fewer people will end up leaving the system.

According to Global Verge, Buzzirk Mobile (and their carrier, Zer01) demand that e-associates pass a test before they can sell the phones. They have to be approved resellers because there are so many regulations involved when selling cell phone technology.

It’s not going to be easy to get approved to sell this product. With the added strain of making sure the website is in compliance with all regulations, it looks even less appealing. And Global Verge is an MLM company, you will also need to recruit other people into your downline. This seems like quite a lot of work just to make a little money.

Why not go at this whole internet sales thing from a different angle? If you learn the basics of marketing, you won’t have to sell a good product for a possibly unstable company, just because you think the product will sell. You’ll be able to sell whatever product you like, because you will have the understanding to make the sales.

If you’re already an e-associate with Global Verge, don’t jump ship just yet. But if you were thinking about joining the company, my advice is to put your time into learning the marketing fundamentals first, and choosing the company last.
