If you have a broken iPhone screen, here are the steps that will show you how to repair your broken iPhone screen.
1. Look underneath the iPhone and find the 2 screws on either side of the USB connector. Using a Phillips #00 screw driver, unscrew the 2 screws.
2. Remove the screen using one of these methods.
Place a razor blade in between the metal and rubber and then lift off the screen. Put a suction cup right over the home button and pull up gently. The glass should pull out without damaging the surrounding rubber gasket.
3. Look for the flaps in the top right that hold the phone and the screen together. One these flaps you should see labels 1 and 2 that are on bright orange stickers. Carefully lift these flaps.
4. Under the #2 flap, look for a third sticker. This one is somewhat different than the others. You will have to lift the little black clamp in order to release connection #3. After you have lifted that clamp, pull the screen out.
5. Remove the other 6 screws. 3 of these screws are on the side of the side rails that have the flaps and 2 are on the other side. The remaining 6th screw is on the right at the top. Remove the black tape. Separate the screen from the LCD glass by putting the wedging tool in between the rails and wedge out the inner piece. This step frees the metal frame from the LCD screen.
6. Clean the broken glass from the metal frame.
7. Prepare the new screen by applying either some double sided tape or some superglue to the home button.
8. Start to reassemble your iPhone by put the glass and the LCD back together. There is only one way the screen can go correctly. On one side, match the sides that have the same length rails. It may be easier to slide the LCD in from the bottom.
9. Put back in the 6 screws.
10. Slide the #3 cable back into the clamp. After the #3 cable has been reinserted, press down on the black clamp.
11. Put the #1 and #2 cables back on.
12. Put the screen back onto the iPhone by inserting the top, the side with the connectors, and then put the bottom in. Once the LCD and the screen are fitted snugly, put in the last 2 screws on either side of the USB.
