Awakenings: Is based on the true story of Dr Sacks (Malcolm Sayer) in the movie. In 1969 he discovers L-Dopa and applies it to encephalitis patients, who had been catatonic for years and years. HE awakens these catatonic people and it is like a time warp to the future for these people.

Cinderella Man: Recounts the true story of James J. Braddock, the Cinderella Man. Braddock was a boxer in the early 1930’s who was seemingly already washed up from a not so stellar career. He was down on his luck and barely keeping the family alive. To save his family Braddock revives his career, and then does the impossible. He wins the heavyweight title.

Bullet in the Head: Extreme, highly charged tale of 3 buddies who leave Hong Kong to go to battle-torn 1967 Saigon and are drawn into a whirlwind of tough situations that tests their friendship. A film spiritual and overwrought with action footage and altercations that are as daring as anything that Woo has tried onscreen. Shining Through: The movie is set in WWII. Linda Voss is a legal secretary with a Jewish relative in Germany. She figures out her boss is working for the government on covert operations.
