The Meteor Man: Townsend plays a hesitant, nerdy schoolteacher with a doubt of elevations whose hit by an abnormal emerald meteor that turns him into a superhero. Townsend additionally inscribed this „Superman N the Hood“ story, full of pro-communal values—although not numerous giggles. As a comedy it just doesn’t soar. The Matrix Reloaded: In the second film of the Matrix trilogy we find Neo growing stronger as he comes to understand his powers. With Zion about to be overwhelmed by the Machine Army, Neo and his friends re-enter the Matrix to battle the forces that repress them. If he is not successful, the Machine Army will destroy Zion.
After Life: This is a beautifully informed story of caseworkers at a train station between the galaxies who help the lately departed pick a lone minute from their pasts to live inside for the remainder of forever. This is a calm, poetic assessment of life, mortality, and memory, filled with soft humor and blessedly free of some feel-excellent bromides. Cast includes Aarata, Erika Oda, Susuma Terajirna, Taketoshi Naito, Kyoko Kagawa, Kei Tani, Takashi Naito, and Yusuke lseya. (118 minutes, 1998)
Buddy Buddy: Humble black comedy in regards to a hit gentleman whose present job is threw away up by an in illusive weirder. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Paula Prentiss, Klaus Kinski, Dana Elcar, Miles Chapin, and Joan Shawlee. (78 minutes, 1981)
AKA: Powerful tale of a youthful, gay, performing-style boy who manages to infiltrate England’s upper crust, posing as a lord and nearly getting away with it. Shot on digital video, tale is informed by means of a triptych, simultaneously granting 3 views of each scene. Method takes getting used to however eventually the gimmick pays off. A mixed box, although still worth checking out. Written by Roy, and based on his experiences. Who Framed Roger Rabbit: This is an animated mystery movie. Roger Rabbit has been framed for murder. Washed up, alcoholic detective Eddie Valiant, is trying to clear Roger’s name.
Dracula Dead and Loving It: Dracula gets the Mel Brooks treatment in this burlesque flick which invests so much time retelling the recognizable Transylvanian’s tale it forgets to be ludicrous. There are some good minutes for Brooks‘ fans, but just not enough. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Peter MacNicol, Steven Weber, Amy Beck, Charlie Callas, and Anne Bancroft. (90 minutes, 1995)
Metroland: Chris Bale, a relaxingly wedded gentleman, is visited by his oldest buddy, a vagabond poet, who powers him to reflect on his Bohemian nights in late ’60s Paris and query the value of middle-style presence in London suburbia. Adrian Hodges adjusted Julian Bames‘ novel. Cast includes Christian Bale, Emily Watson, Lee Ross, Elsa Zylberstein, Rufus, Jonathan Aris, Ifan Meredith, Amanda Ryan, and John Wood. (97 minutes, 1998)
