Buying Mobile Phones with Free Laptops

Over the last few years cell phone prices have reduced, whilst the cost of mobile contracts sold by the mobile network providers has remained mostly unaltered (though you can get more inclusive minutes these days, you can get more free minutes than you once did). This means that the price of a cell phone is proportionally lower than it was when compared against the total cost of a mobile phone contract. In the past mobile phone retailers would give away free handsets as an incentive for consumers to purchase a contract. In the past some retailers would even charge for the cell phone on top of the price of the contract. Mobile phones were, at that time extremely expensive, and often being seen as a luxury product or status symbol. These days with more common use and resulting economies of scale even the best cell phones are quite cheap.

This causes something of a dilemma for mobile retailers who are trying to market mobile phone deals in terms of incentives offered to the customer. The effect has been an increase in the number of deals with incentives on offer, such as mobile phones with a free broadband dongle, mobile phones a free TV, mobile phones with free instant cash back, and most popular of all mobile phones with free laptops.

Laptop computers are another example of a product that was once prohibitively expensive, but because of more widespread use and the resulting high production volumes are now relatively cheap. Because Laptops tend to need upgrading frequently, with a useful life that matches that of cell phones, the chances are that by the time your mobile phone is out of date, your laptop computer will as well.

Thus mobiles with free laptops have become one of the most sought after deals on offer at the moment. There are many different deals to choose from, but the most sought after are the ones offering budget laptops by manufacturers like Acer, HP, Fujitsu Siemens and Toshiba. It is also possible to find a range of Sony laptops available as they have also begun moving into the low cost sector.

When trying to find a mobile phone with free laptop the essential thing is to find out the true value of that laptop computer, and compare that to the other incentives available, in particular, find out if there are any automatic cash-back incentives available on the contract. It may be that you may be able to get a better deal if you were to take a mobile phone with instant cash back, or a cash back by redemption offer and put the money towards a laptop from a computer store.

Be sure to do some research into the laptops themselves. Consider looking at a few of the online stores that contain product reviews. For example, there are some good quality customer reviews of laptops on Amazon and a range of other stores. Blogs and forums are other good sources of consumer reviews, but remember, a great number of these reviews are subjective, so make sure you read as many as you can for a more accurate picture of the product.

When researching which free laptop to go for, you will observe there are lots of differences between the brands. For example Acer develop very well specified machines at low prices, but, the build quality is poor. Toshiba and Fujitsu laptops are usually of superior build quality, but will not be as well featured as an Acer Laptop when comparing laptops of the same value. There are lso some other less well known budget brands available such as E-Machines which are well worth looking at. The main thing to watch out for with the lesser known budget brands is the type of C.P.U. installed. If possible stick to a machine equipped with Intel or AMD processors as these C.P.U’s are the industry leaders and you are unlikely to suffer problems when using these brands.

Whether you are looking for a new cellular phone, or a new laptop the enhanced mobile phone deals with free laptops are well worth a look. There are many wonderful deals available, but, you do have to be prepared to do a little background in order to get the best out of them.
