If you happen to have a broken iPad you should know that it can be expensive to have it repaired. Very expensive, in fact it can cost as much as $600 for the repair. Even the cost for the replacement of a broken digitizer on an iPad can cost anywhere between $100 and $150. In addition, it can cost as much as $200 to replace both the LCD and the digitizer on a broken iPad.
However, these costs should be considered relatively cheap because if the first few months after the iPad release, the cost to repair a broken iPad were between $350 and $400 for the LCD and as much as $200 for the digitizer. Fortunately, those prices fell rapidly. Typically, the prices to repair a broken iPad halve after the first month or two.

According to the Apples website, it costs $129 for the replacement of an iPad with a model that has been refurbished, if the battery is drained by more than 50%, with a $19.95 handling and postage fees for an iPad that isn’t handed in directly to an Apple store.
It is unknown if this same cost applied to a broken iPad that has a broken screen. US repair and service prices for an iPad that is out of warranty range between $269 and $419 for a replacement that has been refurbished.
